New updates and improvements to Curator.io

  1. Maximum number of lines in a post

    New Feature

A small but super cool feature update today...

You can now set the maximum number of lines of text a post should have. Setting this variable keeps your feed nice and neat.

This feature is available on all paid plans and you can access it in the Style page by going to Post > Max Text Lines.

This feature just launched and should speed things up on the front end for you and speed up those site speed scores for google!

    Small Resolution Images

Reduce the resolution of the images used in the layout would reduce the time the page loads. For instance, each image loaded in the our layout has a resolution of 1080x1350px, when the one needed onsite is maximum 600x750px. Instagram API itself is able to provide smaller resolution images.

    Other updates:

    • Improvement: Now when you login to Curator on you mobile you get the desktop view. After years of trying to optimise a mobile site it turns out the easiest way to use Curator on a mobile was to use the desktop view.... who knew?!
    • Improvement: Curator now works on Wix!
    • Improvement: We've added Polish 🇵🇱 to the list of languages the feeds support.
    • Bug Fix: A few weird things were happening when trying to design custom posts on Canva. Not anymore!

  3. LinkedIn is back! (for now...)

Last year LinkedIn announced they were pulling their support for aggregators.

And so we decided to get ahead of the pack and deactivate the source - we didn't want it failing in the middle of customer campaigns.

Well as yet, LinkedIn have not turned off the connection... so we have reactivated the LinkedIn source with a huge caveat: This may fail at any time!

With any luck, LinkedIn will leave the connection open for months to come, but please use it with caution!

You account must be an Instagram Business Account and you must also be an admin on the account.

    Thanks Peter for the idea:

    Instagram Stories

Many people are doing more with stories than with posts. So the stories are often more actual than the posts. Maybe you include them before the posts so the users see them direct.

  7. LinkedIn no longer available

LinkedIn has suddenly pulled their support for all social media aggregators (not just Curator.io). At time of writing they have not given us a reason as to why. It's rather bizarre and frustrating. As soon as we know more, we will let you know.
